Linus Roache of Law & Order
The newest ADA on the block in NBCs long-running Law & Order series is Michael Cutter, played with a perfectly credible American accent by Manchester native Linus Roache. I’d long been hoping for this fine actor to get a winning role, based on just a couple of small but memorable performances. In two drastically different film roles, he inspires instant empathy from his audience with warm and complex portrayals. With his large expressive eyes and pouty, somewhat hangdog look, Linus Roache twinges the heartstrings easily. Any actor that can make a lasting impression with just a few scenes is definitely worth seeing more of, and it’s a treat to see him trading barbs with long-standing rebel Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) every Wednesday night.
In the courtroom on Law & Order…
A tough day of political machinations outside his control…
The two films that made me a Linus Roache fan were Chronicles of Riddick and Batman Begins. You should remember him in the latter movie as Thomas Wayne, Bruce Wayne’s late father who appears in flashbacks. His appearance in the Vin Diesel sci-fi action flick Chronicles of Riddick, as the Necromonger Purifier, was a bit different, however.
Decked out in Necromonger gear, which is a lot of sexy/scary leather, metal, and an interesting/scary helmet…

Preaching to the soon-to-be-converted…
With just a flicker of a reaction to a death, we see the Purifier is not all cold…
In a meeting with Riddick (Diesel) he reveals his quietly controlled but vengeful feelings, deep remorse…
…and vulnerability as he reveals the telltale handprint…
Bet you didn’t think you were going to see Linus Roache shirtless, did you? He’s more on the slender pale beauty side opposed to the Vin Diesel sweaty muscular side of sexiness, but hey, either side works for me.
Hope you enjoyed handsome lawyer Linus Roache, scary sci-fi Linus Roache, and sensual shirtless Linus Roache.
