Watchmen High Quality Trailer

Screencapping is at a temporary halt here in the Shrine, as the Shrine’s PC has called it quits. It was probably about five years old, so not a bad run, considering all the work I put her through–and the fact that I filled the storage to capacity and had to buy an external drive to siphon some of it off.

So, the Shrine PC has gone dark, and all its lovely picture files lay dormant, waiting to hopefully be safely transferred to a new computer as soon as I get one.  In the meantime, I thought I’d share the Watchmen trailer here. It’s definitely one of the few movies to really grab my attention in recent years, so I’m excited about it. The effects look fantastic.

(There’s some ad clutter and stuff after the trailer, but this is the official vid and thus a much sharper image.)

I don’t know the graphic novel, so I’ll be going into it without any specific expectations. IMDB says of the storyline:

“…never has a storyline been so intricate, with arcs that span from the Cuban Missle Crisis to the Reagan Era, and out to Mars and back again. Is it fit for mass consumption? Surely, especially now that audiences are connecting with anti-heroes (or, in this case, ex-superheroes), and let’s not forget how in the 1980s are, too.

Considering I’m still watching Lost, I apparently don’t have a problem with complicated. As long as it’s entertaining-complicated and not sleep-inducing-complicated.

Watchmen opens March 6.
