Tonight’s screencaps are from the Firefly episode Heart of Gold. The crew goes to an outer planet to help protect Nandi (Melinda Clarke), an old friend of Inara’s (Morena Baccarin). Nandi runs a brothel in a lawless town where she and her girls are threatened by the man in power–the guy with the most money and guns, basically. It’s a typical Firefly episode in that it includes humor, beauty, action, verbal sparring…and heartbreak thrown in for good measure.

Here we have Mal (Nathan Fillion) listening to Inara’s proposal. (And looking pretty while doing it.)

Down on the planet, Mal takes in the facts from Nandi.

In the continuing theme of American actors, I thought I’d do another post of Firefly screencaps, featuring the charming and sexy Nathan Fillion. For this installment, I chose the episode “Our Mrs. Reynolds”, where Mal (Fillion) enjoys a night of drunken revelry and wakes up to find himself married. Of course, the little Saffron (Christina Hendricks) isn’t necessarily all that she appears to be. This episode was a good one for showing Mal’s softer side, as well as a lot of humor at his expense.
